GUIDED DIVES

Novice divers, experts, photo lovers... the depths of Nosy Be offer spectacular diving for any level of experience: the depths vary from a few meters up to 30 and beyond. The biodiversity and the integrity of the reef in this area, little frequented by tourists, are our flagship: hard, soft corals, gorgonians and sponges are the setting for a bustling life composed of tropical fish (butterfly, surgeon, triggerfish, clown, etc...)turtles, stingrays and moray eels.

  • We offer up to four dives a day: two in the morning, one in the afternoon and one after sunset.

  • Being constantly influenced by tides and currents our guided dives do not have a predetermined program. We allow ourselves to choose the sites the same morning to find the most favorable conditions to us.

  • For each dive is included the service of assembly/ disassembly equipment, rinsing and storage, as well as obviously guide, leads and aluminum cylinder 12 lt.

DIVE SITES

CRAB N/W

From -12 m to -28

A large coral reef, surrounded by a couple of shallows full of life explorable up to almost 30 meters. The sandy bottom that separates the formations guarantees the meeting with dozens of cute eels gardener.

NOSY FANIHY

From -4 m to -15 m

Nosy Fanihy is the sacred island that is only 10 minutes from the resort. Ideal for early experiences such as baptisms and courses, never disappoints even the most experienced divers who at this point can make a second dive of the day (or third), without the thought of running out of time. The shallower part is teeming with colorful fish and large corals, while the deeper part houses smaller and camouflaged creatures.

NOSY KIBUT

From -7 m to -20 m

Another tiny island just a short distance from the hotel. Also this ideal for baptisms and courses, but special for the search of critters and macros such as seahorses, tape morays, nudibranchs, frogfish, etc...

LOIC

From -12 m to -25 m

Loic is a vast dry of which the part exposed to the current is most appreciated. Starting from a sandy arena surrounded by corals, we follow a strip of sand that takes us to the deepest part, animated by hunting carangids, banks of biters, napoleon, and sometimes some lucky passage. Exploring the ravines, we can find moray eels and large lobsters.

BANC ENTREE

From -13 m to -30 m

A huge coral reef that forms the first fall on the channel of Mozambique. Being thus exposed to the ocean current, it is easy to meet predators hunting: from large carangidae, tuna of different species, sailfish up to some white or grey fin shark. Feasible only with current in the upright phase that "pushes" predators to approach the bench during hunting.

JULIS

From -12 m to -18 m

Medium size shallow 15 minutes of navigation from the diving. Full of shoals of small fish such as fusilier, snapper, damselfish... Plenty of hard corals among which look for more sedentary animals such as moray eels, lobsters and crocodile fish.

GUILBERT

from -5 m to -18m

At 10 minutes of navigation from the hotel, we find this small dry that at low tide almost emerges from the water. The perfect site for the search of many small underwater "goodies" such as nudibranchs, cow fish and crabs of all kinds. However, it does not lack of encounters with turtles, curious octopuses and some passage of medium-sized predators such as thazards.

MITSIO WRECK

From -18 m to -28 m

On a 28-metre sandy bottom, an old fishing boat was voluntarily sunk in 2007 in order to repopulate marine life.

The dive takes place starting from the keel, and then going up by visiting the wreck outside to the less deep part on 18 meters.

The quantity and variety of fish is really impressive: the whole structure is literally covered by scorpions and lionfish of all sizes, crocodile fish, stone fish, box fish, ball fish... All around swimming clouds of yellow liutanids, riflemen and sardines that attract some predators passing like carangidi and barracuda.

The more trained eyes can also see different species of nudibranchs, shrimps and frogfish.

Square dive for Advanced levels feasible only with low current coefficients.
